My name is Jessica K. Mendoza and I am a proud Military Veteran. I spent 10 years serving my country with the Army (74D) and deploying with the Air Force as a Firefighter. During my time of service, I increasingly felt equipped to serve communities in a different and creative way. This is why I decided to found my company in Mount Dora, FL after returning to civilian life. I now walk my purpose of designing, traveling and going on new adventures. I aim to visit at least 3-4 new places each year. These adventures, plus my military travels, has inspired the making of Vintage Rose by Jess and ensuring its offerings are unique and a cut above other design and home companies.
I built Vintage Rose by Jess from a vacation rental business in 2018 to the small town dynamo it is today in 2025. I have spent 7 years in the business of home design, renovations, and renting. Slowly, I have evolved from managing my own properties as vacation rentals to renovating and staging the houses of other Mount Dora residents as vacation homes. In this way, Vintage Rose by Jess has made significant contributions to turning Mount Dora into the tourist hub and premier Central Florida experience it is today.
Vintage Rose by Jess offers top of the line vacation homes that always succeed to leave guests feeling comfortable and at home in Mount Dora. My company also designs and manages converted vacation rentals from the homes of other current residents who share my desire and passion to welcome guests and form relationships, creating everlasting memories in our town. Vintage Rose by Jess’s brick and mortar store, Panache!, specializes in artisanal home decor that truly make a warm, loving home stand out even more. Panache adds a special style uncommon to the shops in Mount Dora’s historic business district, with an emphasis on international merchandise. And, as a boon, Vintage Rose by Jess offers premium design consultation to help you help your decor make your home pop.
